Default Atheros 9K Kext

I was considering trying to write my own Kext for Toshiba laptops for the inbuilt Atheros card. Currently one doesn't exist in the Mac world, but Linux drivers DO exist for this wireless card, and if I got the source files, I could try to write a driver for them using XCode.

It can't be that hard, surely... it's not beyond the wit of man.

I reckon you can m8

When you connect a External display - did you do a reboot first - im trying different ways I just end up with lines that look like a screen saver ... I think there is some keyboard commands that force the resultion through changes ie 640x480 etc

Could someone confirm the Graphics Kext as im worried I might get a black screen Would be good to get Cover flow back.

My keyboard kext had gotten corrupt, so I went to reinstall. In doing so, I'm crashing during boot:

Are you following my guide and using my kexts as indicated when reinstalling? There shouldn't be any problem with my method. Are you tweaking the install and using other kexts?

It's crashing before it gets to loading additional kexts.

Have you tried booting up with the "-v" (verbose) and "-f" (flush cache) flags? Or even the -x (safe mode) flag?

Default youtube friend request

@everyone: please pardon if this is answered after page 11... I'm a third the way through this thread and I see where wingzero619 only has 24 spots left for the tutorials... I'm heading home from work to read the rest, but wanted to get my name in the pot for access. (I picked up an nb205 today!)

@wingzero619: please add seedoc to your youtube friend list... if not now, when a spot opens... Thanks... and thanks for all your help already!
