I just wanted to throw out there some of the things that are currently not working (at least for me) though I have not seen any other mention of them. First is VoodooPS2 preference panel does not detect the trackpad even though the trackpad is working. I'd like to adjust the sensitivity as it is very difficult for me to use this way. Also, I tried hooking up a secondary monitor. I added the display panel to the menu bar and was able to enable the 2nd display but at that point I would get vertical lines on both monitors. Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks
@jagman_1969: Thanks for the comments regarding my material. Did you upgrade from 10.5.5 to 10.5.7 yet? If you haven't, this is probably why you don't see the trackpad pane under System Preferences. As for the secondary display. I connected to my 40in Samsung tv and it registered as a secondary monitor. I didn't have time to play anything on that to check out the video quality yet. I don't have the line problem like you do... not that I have seen. Take some pictures and post it for us.

calic0 is correct. I did post the answers to this question regarding sleep mode. This will fix the problem so it functions properly.

Default iDeneb v1.5 10.5.7

Thank you wingzero619 for the incredible guide and the essential pack.

I've gotten iDeneb v1.5 installed, just decided to install it straight up.

So far I have the following working: video(with all resolutions working), LAN, Time Machine, Bluetooth adapter works, Sleep all work for sure.

No wifi (i'm just going to swap out the internal card)

Battery icon is intermittent but I think I found a way where it shows up more often than not. First, if you install the kexts that wingzero619 provided in the essential pack under master kexts and exclude the very top one, I believe it is the gma950 driver (didn't boot for some reason when i chose it) and restart. Then if you download the power management 10.5.3 and custom install just the power management part only (else the trackpad doesn't work) then restart again. The battery may show for a second then show an x thru it. If you just plug in the power adapter and wait a second then unplug it the battery meter should be working again. Just sharing with what worked for me.

Once again thanks for all the help.

Default You The Man, wingzero

My man wingzero,

I finally managed to finish up with the installation of my friend's XPS M1530 laptop via iAtkos v7. I used some of the kext files from your NB205's packs to get some features in M1530 to work. However, the graphics kext files did not work, because M1530 requires nvidia driver which I found somewhere else.

I really appreciate it very much for your help and guidance.

By the way, I am still having problem with the restart/shutdown. The screen just goes black, and I have to hard reset it via the power button. Any idea to fix this issue?

Also, the internal wi-fi does not work as well. It is the Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN which I am not able to find the kext file yet.

Again, thank you very much.

Later,
JBauer...

Hey guys, thanks for the great thread on Hackint0shing an NB200.

I'm having a problem with ideneb 1.5 during initial install where disk utility doesn't recognise the internal hard disk at all. I should mention that it's not the stock disk (took that out due to already having a highly tuned custom XP install on there) and that it's NTFS formatted. Should I take it out and format it to HFS journaled via one of my genuine Macs?

Keep up the good work!

Thanks, I had already upgraded to 10.5.7. so that isn't it. I am noticing problems that others don't seem to be having so maybe I did something fundamentally wrong with my install. I installed as a dual boot, one thing I noticed right off was that you have to turn off the HDD utility in windows before doing the install. If you don't, disk utility will not let you partition the drive. I partitioned it into 3, windows in 1(FAT), mac in 2 (default), and data(FAT). Followed the guide to the letter. Everything went smoothly. Here is what I currently do not have working:
No trackpad preference pane,
No secondary monitor support, (detects a monitor but both displays become illegible)
Audio works but does not detect when a headset is plugged in. (can manually change the output in preference pane)
No bluetooth. I actually thought this was normal but I saw someone post that he had it working.
I am wondering if we should start a list like this so that everyone can know what to expect and what not to.
Thanks again, here is a picture of my mirror monitor attempt:

Default HD vIDEO

Ive found what im looking for - Being able to run HD 480P Video off the TOSHIBA NB205 with 1GB of ram very smoothly

How -- DOwnload and install XBMC for OSX here->XBMC Media Center for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux | Download

Look in OS / view all files / XBMC for mac /Babylon - 9.04/XBMC_for_Mac-ppc-9.04.1-repack.dmg

This has all the best Codecs and it very optimsed for playing back of HD Movies -- Ive not tried 720P yet or 1080P but I doubt it will play those. being able to play HD 480P is good enough.

I found MPLAYER/VLC kinda failed when trying to play bigger video files.

Default EnGenius EUB-9702 Wireless-N 802.11N Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter

What's up wingzero,

I found the following USB 2.0 wireless-N Adapter by EnGenius over at amazon @ $23.62 plus shipping. The description said Apple OS X Driver support. I checked the company's website and indeed it has a Mac OS X 10.5 driver. Do you think the adapter will work with the NB205 and XPS M1530?

EnGenius EUB-9702 Wireless-N 802.11N Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter

Please let me know what you think.

Much obliged,
JBauer...

@JBauer: You could try your luck and hope it works. For my WiFi adapter, I needed a WiFi utility to enable it. What does the adapter you want come with? Do you know of anyone on the net that has successfully used one on a hackintosh? Do some research on it first before making a purchase.
