I have installed now a number of times. I can't find any information here on this laptop.

these are the options i choose

fix: battery monitor

this is what i select under *customize* the ones with the ! are the settings i'm not sure of:-

I dont know if i should select chipset or kernel?

it installs but when loads up it goes blue then black, i read somewhere the the dell you close the screen let it hibernate then open and voila, but mine wont hibernate even if i leave it closed for an hour!

on the first install when i didnt select any customize it loaded then half the screen was black and i could see half a splash screen happening on th right but not enough to see any options or the like.

very upsetting

ok this is where i am at.

not choosing to install video driver in instalation.

laptop will boot but half a screen only.

if i plug monitor in it keeps going back to laptop screen, but if i plug monitor but keep laptop closed i can get full screen on monitor and use os x. but when i select displays even though i choose native 1440x900 for laptop screen it still is only half and pretty much useless.
