Okay so ive tried alot of distros, and will still be trying more and more, but i came across one called "XxX Universal 10.5.6" .
This baby is great, its got lots of drivers and options for customizing the install, and beside the fact it worked flawlessly for my laptop, it runs really fast, faster then any other i have used.... FASTER THEN MY FRIENDS ACTUAL MAC!!
Anyways, so here is my guide for installing it to an a205-s5804 Satellite by Toshiba.

Before i really get into the step by step procedure, i just wanted to point out that i have put together a zip file with all the fixes needed in conjuncton with this distro, if you use another distro you might need other techniques/fixes.
I included the power management package from 10.5.3 that makes the battery appear and allow you to change the power functions.
I also included this AMAZING fix that i randomly found online for the audio. It fixes the headphone jack. Although im not completely sure about the microphone jack, but im sure most people have a usb headset anyways. Your going to have to go to the sound preference page to change if you want to have audio through the headphone jack or the speakers, but thats not really a pain unless you are really really lazy.
I included the kext for the Ethernet that i have modified to work with this laptop.
I included the Package install for the wireless internet that i got from the realtek website. And the modified kext to work with this laptop.
I also included a short instruction to enable quartz extreme.
Your going to need to use kext helper that installs with the distro to install the modified kexts.
Also, get a blank cd or flash drive or something to transfer files to the computer (Internet wont be working yet)

Okay now onto the procedure! -
Make sure you have your important files backed up before doing this.
So take your XxX Universal 10.5.6 install cd and pop it into the laptop.
Press f12 at first boot and press any key to load the cd up.
Once it is loaded your going to press continue a few times then click the "Utilities" tab at the top menu, then "Disk utility"
Now your going to click on your hard drive on the left (not the greyed out partitions under it) and then to the right click "partition".
Select your desired name and partitions for your hard drive, then click options and select Guid. ONLY IF YOU ARE SINGLE BOOTING THIS MAC INSTALL , otherwise if you are dual booting then select MBR (Master boot record)
After doing those steps you are going to exit the disk utility and then click continue, select the partition to install on, then on the next page click on the "Customize" option to the left.
Do not select anything extra or anything less. Just select what i list here.
-Expand "Graphics Drivers"
Expand "Intel GMA Graphics"
Expand "GMA 950"
Select only the "GMA 950" Checkbox
-Expand "Audio Drivers"
Select only the "GenericAC97Audio" Checkbox
-Expand "Others"
Select only the "SMBIOS800" Checkbox
-Select the "Tools" Checkbox


After that start the installation, and i always skip the checking process, but you can let it go if you want to.
Once that is finished, take the cd out after shutting down and restarting the laptop. Then let it boot. It will boot into the welcome video and Setup. Fill out the information it shows then you are presented with your desktop.
First thing your going to want to do is get things fixed. So copy the package i put together on your desktop from whichever method you are using to do so.
After fixing your ethernet, just go to software update, then just download and install the new 10.5.7 update and then fix the rest of the stuff, along with reinstalling the ethernet kext.

To install the wireless -
Double click the package to install the realtek software.
Then restart your computer (Shut down and Turn on)
Once you are back at your desktop, open "Kext helper" and drag the rtl8187bt.kext into its window, then enter your password and click "easy install"
Restart your computer again and your wireless works now.

To install the ethernet -
Double click on your hdd from your desktop.
Go to system
Go to library
Go to extensions
Find IONetworkingFamily.kext and delete it
Open kext helper again and install the modified kext thats in the package
Restart your computer and your ethernet works now


To install the battery -
Double click on the "This is for the battery" File
Restart your computer , now your battery is shown and you can customize your power options.

To fix the audio -
Double click on the "Sound Fix" File
Restart, now your sound works


Only fix the audio and battery after you update to 10.5.7
You are going to need to reinstall the ethernet kext again the same way after updating.

Thanks for posting this great description. I was able to use Leo4all V3 to install OSX on this platform sometime back. But there was quite a bit more work to fix everything.

that is the best guide I found,

I have a toshiba A205 and DVD ipc 10.5.6

I installed leopard on an AMD PC and it works very well

I would change installed in the laptop that I like more than windows and linux

install it in the laptop but I do not work properly, and this has been the best guide I found on the laptop model, and the version of osx leopard

I got everything working with your nice guide besides wireless. Now when I try to open the realtek program it never opens and I have to force quit. Got any suggestions? When I updated to 10.5.7 I didn't update any other software did you do that too?
