Default P5Q PRO & MAC OS X Leopard 10.5.5 (9F33) Retail (P5Q PRO, MAC, Leopard, 10.5.5)

...Page in development...

P5Q PRO & MAC OS X Leopard 10.5.5 (9F33) Retail
All about MAC OS X on this MB (P5Q PRO, MAC, Leopard, 10.5.5)

Here there will be a description of installation Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 9E25 Retail.

Do not instal broken assemblages on this MB, only the original Retail last version.

Summary:
Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 9E25 Retail - 7.01 Gb

The original distribution of APPLE is without any problems + immediately after installation UpDate 10.5.5 316 Мб. ((Attention (Warning: Download and install the update, but did not use the "Software Update").

As a result, we get the original Apple MAC OS X version 10.5.5, updated without any problems directly from apple.com for an indefinite time.
Original works faster and more stable than any of the hackintosh assemblies that I have ever encountered.
Installation from an image of the distribution kit is recommended. Restored in separate hard disk partition.
The hard drive is recommended to split Disk Utility in the scheme of partition GUID (3-4 main section), Attention: If you plan on the same hard disk to install Win2003, XP or Vista format HDD only MSDOS - MBR (Master Boot Records).
We pose the original Vanilla kernel, are all core processor, running everything else.

Installing hackintosh assemblies strongly not recommended. But if you experimenter or amateur extreme of a hackintosh assembly is easily and quickly, directly from the DVD-ROMa Russian IDeneb 10.5.5 With kernel 9.5.0 (IMHO: version 10.5.5 lower than at segodnyashy day is not relevant - on the approach to performance 10.5.5 Kalyway and Leo4All).

Important:

Do not put broken assemblages - Only: Mac_OS_X_Leopard_10.5.4_9E25_Retail.dmg. (Point)

Any motion to install Mac OS X on this MB should start with flash BIOS version 1406, adapted for Mac (temporary solution). This flash will not affect the work of other operating systems (Windows (all), Linux, BSD, etc.)

BIOS 1501: (Ready for MAC OS X): Here
BIOS 1406: (Ready for MAC OS X): P5Q_ASUS_PRO_1406.zip ( 697.09K )

BIOS: (Native, Not modified): P5Q_ASUS_PRO_1406.zip ( 697.08K )
Version: 1406
Date: 06 oct 2008
1. Enhance CPU compatibility with certain Yorkfield C1 stepping CPUs.
2. Enhance the compatibility of certain memory.

The instruction for beginners: READ_ME_FOR_NOOB.doc ( 1.52MB )
Attention: If you badly understand as update BIOS and why it is needed, not DO IT. Information is presented for an acquaintance. Incorrect steps on update will result in death Your mother board with the loss of guarantee.

Drivers MAC OS X:

SOUND: P5Q_PRO_Realtek_SOUND.zip ( 306,4Kb )

LAN Onboard: Wanted
LAN It is recommended: It is recommended to purchase Realtek 3189. Price 2 $. Put at once, a driver is not needed.
AHCI: P5Q_PRO_AHCI_LegacyAppleAHCIPort.kext.zip (2,12Kb)
To give up in the folder of /Extra/extensions/ of file of initrd.img on FlashDrive, or in analogical for Chameleon.
IDE: Marvell 88SE6121: P5Q_PRO_Marvell_AppleVIAATA.kext.zip (135,95Kb)

If Your keyboard of PS\2: P5Q_PRO_KBoard_PS_2.zip (510,09Kb)

Fix orange icon: AHCIFix.1.3_cVaD.mpkg.dmg.zip (188 Kb)

NVIDIA: P5Q_PRO_NVIDIA_NVkush.kext.zip (10,91Kb)

++++++++++++++++++++++ My variant of installation: (Marvel in BIOS enabled) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

1. Download:

1.1: Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4 9E25 Retail - 7,01 GB
(English and other languages are included. Attention: a version number 10.5.4 9E25 and the size should correspond)

1.2: IDeneb 10.5.5 v1.3 - 4.38 GB - 4,38 GB
(English and other languages are included)

1.3: Update 10.5.5 - 316 MB (English and other languages are included)

2. HDD:

2.1: Make on HDD 2 sections FAT32: 1 th will be put whence Leo, 2nd where will be put by Leo (use this program). (In an installation time of Leopard, format them in HFS+)

If you wish to instal together with Leopard ХР or Vista - disk marking should be MSDOS - MBR (master boot records).

If you put only Leo a disk should be divided as GPT (GUID)

Here 2 sections for the Leopard: 2nd at the left - where will be Leopard is put, 3rd at the left - whence will be Leopard is put (disk MBR).

3. BIOS:

Briefly:

1. After BIOS upgrade press "Load Setup Default".

2. Include on a maximum all that consider it necessary.

3. The mandatory moment only one - enable SATA in mode AHCI

4. Options BIOS see here.

4. Install:

4.1. Burn ISO IDeneb on DVD-R or DVD-RW.

4.2. Instal IDeneb on 2nd section at the left.

4.3. Enter in IDeneb and by means of the Disk Utility (is in system programs) restore 3rd section at the left using Mac_OS_X_Leopard_10.5.4_9E25_Retail.dmg. A source - Mac_OS_X_Leopard_10.5.4_9E25_Retail.dmg, the Purpose - 3rd section. (The hint: if it is necessary for you to save Mac_OS_X_Leopard_10.5.4_9E25_Retail.dmg (7.01 Gb) on DVD-RW and you do not have two-layer disk DVD-RW - by means of program WinRar create multivolume archive consisting of parts on 700 MB and burn all it on 2 single-layered disks DVD-RW)

4.4. Create Boot Flash Drive: (the description will be in the near future)

4.5. Boot with Boot Flash Drive: (the description will be in the near future)

4.6. Install the Mac_OS_X_Leopard_10.5.4_9E25_Retail.dmg: (the description will be in the near future)

4.7. Install Update 10.5.5: (the description will be in the near future)

4.8. Install more drivers.

4.9. Enjoy...

Sorry for bad English, I from Ukraine.

Dear juzzi, would you please modify BIOS 2005 for the Asus P5Q Deluxe? I'd be really grateful if you did

Is it really necessary to upgrade the bios? I got BIOs version 1406 at the moment on my ASUS P5Q Deluxe.

I would just like to know out of curiosity why the BIOS upgrade is required. Thanks for a good tutorial
