Re: need help on downgrade from 3.1 to 3.0
What model do you have? Downgrade is possible but not on 3GS. It is also not possible to downgrade modem firmware on 3G (if upgrading to 3.1 broke unlock for example)

I have the ipod touch 2G 8GB, and i restored it recently and it's at 3.1 now.

You can downgrade to 3.0 with iTunes. However if you have not saved your 3.0 ipsw you will find this a bit difficult.
With the iPod Touch, the major OS updates cost money and to avoid breaking the rules, the links to download the ipsw files cannot be linked to on this forum. Search on your local hard drive for iPod2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw, also please note that iTunes 9 is now "cleaning up" old ipsw files and moving them to the trash automatically. I would advise backing up older IPSW files, especially when you pay for them. Why do you want to downgrade? So you can jailbreak 3.0? Last edited by Olethros; 10-08-2009 at 08:51 AM.
