Safe to Update?

I jailbroke my 1st Gen Ipod touch in 1.1.4 last year with ziphone and now that the new software is out is it safe to get 3.0 and the appstroe without breaking it? If so how would I update it?

Using iTunes restore to 3.0 and then use get redsn0w from here and use it to jailbreak your iPod touch. And yes you will get the appstore and it works perfect.
Suprised you've been on 1.1.4 all this time. You've been missing out!
