First off this is how the problem started. i used to have a jailbroken 1.1.1 ipod and now i decided to update to 1.1.4 . I updated successfully then tried using ziphone to jailbrake it my ipod touch has a black screen with scrolling white text scrolling down it. On the ziphone menu it said to click cancel if an error occured (white text stopped flowing and my ipod was frozen) then it said all changes were cancelled.


now my ipod is stuck in recovery mode, it goes to that as soon as i turn it on. when i connect it (i have to manually hold down home and the sleep button just to get it to be read on itunes, this means its in DUF right?) it says "ipod in recovery mode please restore" etc. So i click restore and as it restores i get an error a minute or so in saying "unknown error 1604" im stuck here.

i figured this was a common problem but i tried search and could not find anything.

also when my ipod is read by itunes it says software version is n/a, and when i clcik restore it says restore and update

i got my ipod touch to go to a 1603 error, then i tried updating again. and now i got a 6 error.
