Default [1.1.3 (1.1.1 OTB)][Problem] iPod Touch recognized as iPhone by iTunes

I currently have an iPod Touch that will not turn on and do not show any signs of life on the screen that is recognized as an iPhone by iTunes. Can anyone help me and my iPod Touch???

Let’s set the scene:
I started out with:
Mac Book OS X
iPod Touch with firmware of 1.1.3
iTunes 7.6
Pwnage Tool (Mac)
.ipsw files for 1.1.4 for the iPhone (Dumb part that I suspect as the main reason for this post).

Using Pwnage tool, I built an updated ipsw file, once again using the .ipsw file for the iPhone.
I placed my iPod Touch into restore mode by pressing and holding the Home key while connecting it iPod Touch to my MacBook.
The Pwnage program noticed my iPod Touch as being in restore mode
Using the Pwnage Tool, I began to update my iPod Touch with the .ipsw files for 1.1.4 for the iPhone.
The process started well with info scrolling up my iPod Touch screen but then got hung up and did not do anything for a good 15 – 20 minutes.
At this time there were no signs of life coming from my iPod Touch. Black screen
While still running the Pwnage Tool, I opened iTunes to see if it would recognize my iPod Touch. It recognized something being attached but it said it was an iPhone that needed to be restored.
I canceled iTunes and proceeded to wait another 15 minutes for the Pwnage Tool to complete.
After 45 minutes and noticing that the Pwnage Tool was no longer using any CPU time and the Thread count staying stable, I disconnected my blackened screen iPod Touch.

I had forced the Pwnage Tool to quit and then reconnected my iPod Touch which iTunes was still recognizing as an iPhone that it wanted to restore.

I began attempting to place my iPod Touch into restore mode with no signs of life on the screen to no avail.

I then thought since iTunes is still seeing my iPod Touch, I will try and let it restore the iPhone firmware and see where that leaves me. It proceeded to fail with an unknown error (6) message.

Can anyone help me and my iPod Touch??? Is there a way to restore my iPod Touch?? (Holding Home and Off button for 10 seconds does not work to place in restore mode and Holding Home key while plugging in USB cable to place in restore mode also does not work)

I had a black out with my iPod Touch because I used an iPhone firmware. I used ZiPhone to restart in DFU mode. Held Power and Home for 10 sec and Home for additional 10 sec and iPod Touch was recognized by iTunes. Had to perform restore twice and now I am up and running.

Default iPod Touch recognized as iPhone by iTunes

I don't have any solution for your problem, as I am not a very tech savvy. But I can give you a suggestion. You may visit http://www.supportonclick.com for help. I had faced a lot of problem earlier with my MP3 player. One of my friend suggested me to seek help from supportonclick. As I followed his advice my problem was solved almost within a minute. The staffs out there are quite helpful and extremely skilled in solving a number of complicated problems. Since then whenever I face any problem I just get in touch with them and they do every thing. I think they will also provide you necessary support to solve your problem once you seek their help.
