Okay, so I decide I want 3.1.2 on my jailbroken 3.0 ipod, I download blackra1n, but I forgot to upgrade to 3.1.2 before running it. I exit it and reset my ipod, leaving it in dfu mode. I try to do a normal restore, it gets to the bit where it prepares, and fails. I also tried downloading 3.1.2 and shift clicking restore, same problem. I also tried 3.0 firmware, same problem.
Now I'm stuck in dfu mode. Help! |

You should be able to exit dfu mode by holding down both sleep and home buttons for around 30 seconds
Blackra1n only requires recovery mode not dfu. Dfu the screen is black but the backlight is on. Recovery mode has a connect to iTunes type icon. I also believe blackrain can put the device into recovery mode automatically.
