I've been trying do jailbreak my ipod touch 2G but when I run redsnow in stops in this message: "waiting for reboot". I've already tried tons of times but it never goes further than this step. I have upgraded to 3.0 and I'm using redsn0w 0.8

unplug and then plugin usb cable again. The process should continue on properly then.

Or if that fails try again with a different USB port on your computer.

Yes, i got this problem aswell.

Are you using Redsn0w 0.7? I found that only Redsn0w 0.7 crashed for me.

I downloaded Redsn0w 0.8 and that worked fine.

Give that a go.

(Make sure you choose Run As Administrator if your on Vista)

if u still run into problems on vista as admin w/ 0.8, try compat. mode xp(w.e SP it offers u) and try againn, still as admin. if that doesnt work, (as it didnt for me when i jailbroke couple months ago.) i had done some searching, and finally found some1 w/ my exact same story, and they said they, just to try, put it in compat. mode for win. 95. sure enough, it worked for him, and for me too! ^_^

will this work with windows 7 as well?

well i tried using iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore and redsn0w 0.8 and ran it both in xp with sp 3 and win 95 neither worked both froze after it said waiting for system to reboot...
I just bought this ipod weeks ago and its version 3.1 and when i did a restore it went to 3.1.1 what do i do now? any suggestions? please help thanks a bunch.

When it says waiting for reboot

hold down both home and power

when you see the apple let go of the Power keeping the home down

this should bring up the itunes plug you may let go of the home.

and blame that is what redsn0w .8 wanted
