Hi all,

So my beloved 2g iPhone died, and I bought a new 3g phone offof Craigslist today, thinking unlocking it would be a synch. It came wth 3.0.1 on it, so I jailbroke it using p0wnage tool, with a 3.0 ipsw. So far so good. Install Yellowsn0w from Cydia. Run it. Nothing. Just the 4 dots.


So I searched through the web and forums for some answers.

I've tried the reset network connections, playing with it in airplane mode, using bossettings, etc. Finally I decided to go to the command line. I get the weirdest error:

mobile$ yellowsn0w -c
ERROR! yellowsn0w works only for baseband "02.28.00", but this baseband is ""

So I googled for this error message, and a lot of people get it, but yellowsn0w reports a baseband version number. Mine is reporting NO VERSION AT ALL!!!

Anyone know any good next steps I can try? Hoping my $350 investment was not a waste!

you need to use ultrasn0w ...

add appended repo in cydia.
