Smile US iphone in UK for 2 weeks?

Anyone recently used a US iPhone in the US on o2 sim only?
I have an unlocked AT&T iphone. Going to UK for two weeks and would like voice, data over 3g, and wifi.

Does this work:
O2 simplicity
Sim only
1 month tariff
600 mins with unlimited web bolt-on
total price 19.58 pounds.

Does that also include access to a network of wifi hotspots or is there a separate bolt-on for wifi (wasn't clear from the o2 site whether this was included).

Will I need to jump through any activation hoops etc to make this work in the uk? ie, do I need to adjust carrier settings manually on the iPhone or is this automatic? (the phone is unlocked, just wondering if any settings need to be changed manually or using itunes etc before I go)

Any alternative recommendations for a SIM for 2 weeks?

Someone from the US asked about Simplicity and was told they need a UK bank A/c or CC to get it.
You can get iPhone PAYG SIMs off eBay with Internet access and Wifi for a few quid - I'd see if you can buy one of them - you'll have to top up a minimum of £10 but for a couple of weeks that's probably your best bet.

Thanks Confucious,
I had interpreted the simplicity 1 month thing as payg; my bad. I guess I could start an account and cancel after a month, but that's additional hassle. I'll probably go for a real PAYG sim as you suggest.

Is it as simple as putting in the new sim (rebooting, airplane off on etc)and away you go, or do you need to type in carrier details somewhere etc to enable web over 3g?

Thank you for the useful info.

I would sugest a T-Mobile PAYG instead.
You just need to change the APN:
O2 PAYG
APN - payandgo.o2.co.uk
Username - vertigo
Password - password

T-Mob
APN - general.t-mobile.uk
username: t-mobile
Password: one2one

Thanks again Confucious,
That's exactly what I needed.
I'll try T-mobile.

by the way you don't need to get it on eBay you can walk into most shops and get them or even the T-mobile store no hassle...
