I wanted to update my iphone to software 2.2.1. I go into cydia on my already jailbroken iphone and it tells me that if i upgrade it yellowsn0w could perhaps be disabled. How can I do this update while keeping yellowsn0w in tact and able to use? Thanks in advance!

You should use pwnagetool to upgrade. Make a custom firmware, and restore it through iTunes

There isn't really much advantage in having 2.2.1/02.30 against 2.2/02.28 (maybe some compatibility with appstore apps)

One main reason 2.2.1 was put out was 2 stop yellowsn0w working.

So you can either restore to 2.2 fw & simply use Quickpwn225 or use a mac with pwnagetool and make a custom 2.2.1 firmware with the 02.30 baseband update process neutered.

First question, is pwanagetool available on windows? if so where is it possible to download?

Second question is how do i make a custom firmwire?

The only problem is new apps which comes out through the appstore requires users to have software version 2.2.1.

No if you want 2.2.1 you need a Mac or find a torrent site offering one.

Last question sorry. If i search for a torrent, what am i supposed to type in the torrent site? and once i download it and upgrade do I still use QuickPwn to jail break it?
