iPhone 3G Firmware 2.2 Baseband 2.30.00 Bootloader 5.9 Unlock Needed

Could anyone please tell me of the options available to unlock an iPhone 3G with these specifications? AFAIK YellowSn0w only handles Firmware 2.2 with Baseband 2.28.00 and Bootloader 5.8!

No unlock so far for this combination, plus you cant downgrade the baseband (only 5.8), sorry

I've been googling around and it seems like *ALOT* of people have been stuck with this or the FW 2.2.1 BB 2.30.03 BL 5.9 configuration since Jan-Feb with the hopes that the Dev Team is coming up with a solution soon. Any word from the Dev Team in this regard? Is anyone trying to find an unlock fix or is everyone waiting in vain?

BTW, I'm using my phone (no GPRS/EDGE, only SMS/Calls/WiFi) with a TurboSIM nowadays; still looking forward to a software unlock.

There is a Gevey Sim that supports 2.2.1, just make sure that it as a Genuine Gevey version 2.

I use a gevey plus 2 sim card. i have no problems at all i use youtube,EDGE everthing the iphone has to offer and i jailbroke it.

By the way, I saw an iPhone 3G today with FW 2.2.1 and BB 2.30.03 that had been software unlocked. The guy said he got it like that from Dubai! Any insights into how that set might've been unlocked?!?
