VERY URGENT!!!

model # is not complete MB496BZ/A is from brazil and MB496BG/A is from bulgaria. or MB496B/A from ireland or MB496B/A from Malta or MB496B/A from the UK. would be a 3g iphone in all cases.

Easiest way to check
silver back > iPhone 2G
white or black back > iPhone 3G

I agree it is probably a 3g but being 16gb doesn't mean anything. There were 16gb 2g iPhones before the 3g came out.

agree with ^^^ if the back is silver then its the old one and if its either white or black its the new 3G
