yellowsn0wed iPhone doesn't work in UK?

Hello,

I unlocked my iPhone with yellowsn0w (0.98) and it worked already fine in Russia/Germany/France but in UK I always get "no service" and can't connect to any carrier. Could anyone help meor explain, why it works in some countries an doesn't in the UK?

It almost definitely means the phone has been a UK model and has been reported lost or stollen and the IMEI has been barred from use in the UK.

No, I bought the iPhone myself in Switzerland.
This means that yellowsn0w doesn't work correctly if you ask me...
