Iphone 3G Version 2.2.1 Sim unlock

I do a lot of traveling and need to unlock the phone to accept my other simcards. Does anyone know how to achieve this?

It is not possible at this time, and there is no date when it might happen, if at all... sorry, you would need to find a model with an earlier baseband...

is there any method to possibly downgrade the baseband??

i've seen this is possible on older versions..but i messed up my 3G and after 2 days of messin about i finally got iTunes to recognize it and to cut a short story short i ended up with 2.2.1

i've got insurance so am willing to take a few dangerous steps lol

There is no software unlock.

Though I continue to support DevTeam's efforts, I have resorted to sim-proxies and turbosim-like devices. Check out that Forum.
