Had to reboot and reinstall yellowsn0w. However, method 3 doesn't seem to work on 3G 8GB with version 0.9.6 anymore. Still testing - will post an update when successful.

As reported previously, method 3 did't work with yellowsn0w 0.9.6 using method 3 on my 3G 8GB anymore. However, I could get it working again, following these steps:
1. Uninstall yellowsn0w
2. Load the Cydia installer
3. Go to Manage-->Sources and add the yellowsn0w source
Code: http://apt9.yellowsn0w.com and install yellowsn0w 0.9.6
4. Press home button and return to your Home Screen
5. Go to Settings --> General --> Reset --> Reset Network Settings. This will automatically reboot your iPhone
6. Happy again!

Method 1 worked for me. Rogers locked iPhone. Thanks for the guide!!

I tried the first method and T-Mobile logo appeared as soon as I finished step 2...

I cant get cydia installed

I run quickpwn 2.2 on my mac for my 3G iPhone and it says ihaz Success! I then wait until the phone shuts down, takes 13 minutes, when I power phone back up, no Cydia, no Installer, so cant get yellowsn0w..

I feel dumb, but tried over and over, suggestions please

for me the 3rd way worked was stuck with a 3g for days at last got over it thanks buddy
instaled bosspref from cydia restart 2be safe then using installer used yellowsn0w switched off all 3g ,wifi, edge,then reboot using bosspref n remove n put d sim back n it works :-) hope it works with the rest.

i tried all the methods but my phone is still with no service. using yellowsn0w 0.9.6 on 2.2(5G77) fw jailbroken (quickpwn) on modem fw 02.28.00

please help me unlock my phone. tried all methods mentioned here.

I've been trying to unlock my iphone I got in canada (now i'm in australia) and go to the following point in the tutorial:
10. Launch cydia. after the first run restart ignore the upgrade essential prompt and install SBSettings
11. Go to Manage-->Sources and add the yellowsn0w source

unfortunatly when I input this source code I get the following message:

"did not find repository"

Is there an updated source code I'm supposed to be using here instead?
