Default Full hardware usage.

Hi,
Im planning to dual boot with hackintosh. but my major concern is that if i install a distro on my computer can it fully utilities my hardwares potential?

my system specs:
Asus P5Q PRO P45
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz 1066MHz)
OCZ 2GB (4x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Platinum XTC
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5
