Kernal Panic, Then Won't g With "Mac Model Not Set" Error
Hello,
My system in brief: AMD 4-core Phenom @2.6ghz, 2gb of RAM, MSI k9a2, ATI Radeon 4850. iDeneb 1.4 (10.5.6) updated with the Voodoo 9.6.0 1.1 kernal, and Chameleon 2RC bootloader.
Up till yesterday, my system was completely stable. Occasionally, through the use of some bad software, I'll get a kernal panic and be forced to reset with the button. After I do this, the system won't reboot from the hard disk, giving me a "Mac Model Not Set" error, and trying to reset it to a Macbook Pro 5,1 instead of the Mac Pro 3,1 that it was at original install.
The machine did boot from the hard disk if the iDeneb DVD was in the optical drive and its bootloader was initially loaded off the DVD drive.
Any thoughts on how I could repair the install instead of starting from scratch?
