Hey all,

I want to dual boot windows 7 and macosx on my HP Pavilion DV6500 (dv6517tx) laptop.

I've got a Intel Core Duo T5450.

I had macosx running in vmware sometime ago but I didn't get every good resolution and had a few other issues.

Just wondering if anyone else has had success with the same model and managed to get everything working?

hmm I have an HP Pavillion DV4, and I installed succesfully via Kalyway 10.5.2

Just remember to select the Intel High Definition Audio patch on the installer to get sound, and to get wireless you might have to get a USB stick and install this Zydas WLan USB driver program thing (I think thats what its called)

theres a list of usb wifi sticks that have worked for other people somehwere on the wiki

I got the same laptop DV6500t with
intel core Duo T 7250
nvdia GeForce 8400 GS display
intel pro/wireless 3945 ABG

I could successfully install OSX 10.5.5 on a external USB hard drive (keeping my vista still intact on the local C drive)
I used iDeneb 10.5.5 image.

Everything except the wifi and sound is working great.
I can connect to internet using the Ethernet.

I'm grabbing iDeneb v1.3 (Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5), looks like the right on. How quick does it run off usb?

Did you guys have trouble booting of usb? Its stuck on the boot screen...

all good working just no sounds or wifi.... wifi I can handel but need sound! I selected the patch to I think.. was that in customize?

Whats your audio chipset?
