Default rebel EFI question

I have an Acer Aspire laptop 4730Z with Intel Pentium Core dual-core processor T3400.

I have downloaded Rebel EFI but when I put the cd in and restart my laptop, I get to the screen where I need to choose between windows or install Snow Leopard but it never installs rebel efi from what I can tell. The screen just reads eject disc and when I do and put int he snow leopard disc nothing happens. It just boots up vista.

Anyone know where I am screwing up?

Thanks.

UPDATE: Okay Snow leopard is loading, but when I get to the screen to choose my language, I have to just hit enter (no response from touch pad).

I get to the "INSTALL MAC OS X" screen and nothing happens when I hit enter this time and touch pad again does not work.

Any tips out there to get around this?

Thanks.

UPDATE: I installed a usb mouse and that worked. I get all the way through the installation process and it says install failed. Now I get no bootable device on the screen and can get nowhere.

Should I re-install windows and start over?

Installation failed does not necessarily mean it failed. Did you follow all the instructions in the wiki?

I read where the wiki says that installation failed does not necessarily mean a fail, but I have nothing showing on my laptop. At the moment it is a brick.

I still have "No bootable device" on my screen and I cannot get windows to load via dvd, nor can I get Rebel to boot again and try to re-install snow leopard.

Anyone else ran into this?

Default Did you get Windows to install yet?

I had better luck getting RebelEFI and Snow Leopard up and running.
However I can't get my ethernet port, trackpad, wireless, and soundcard to work, I want to go back to XP.

Have you had any luck getting your windows OS to boot? So far I can't. It won't even recognize that the install CD is in the box.
