Yes I'm rather eager as well. I tried boot 132 method with orig install disk, and that didn't work, and I tried iDeneb 1.4, and that didn't work either. iDeneb install disk booted up, but for some reason the window didn't show up. Could be a scratched disk, but I haven't gotten iDeneb to work on my eee 901 either.

Default I'm curious as well...

I've tried Leos4All and iDeneb 10.5.6.

The Leos distro starts to load the installer and then reboots prior to getting to the installer.

iDeneb 10.5.6 boots to the installer perfect, and installs perfectly. However, on reboot from the hard drive, I get an eternal apple + spinning cursor.

I chose the removefirewire fix, CPUs1 fix and the ACPI fix during the install, as well as the GMA 950 graphics drivers.

For the time being, I'm back to XP.

It has the 600 series bios installed currently.

Well, I'm not sure where to go with this. The "modified" bios distros for the other EEE Pc models won't install on this 1005hab. The Asus Update software won't let me downgrade to Bios 5xx...and with 6xx installed, I can't seem to get iDeneb to restart and run after the initial install.

That having been said, the external DVD drive for this netbook did give me what I needed to get a fully functional OS X install on my Phenom desktop.

Disable hyber threading, i have a 1005ha and am having the same problem, from what I've read about the 1008ha, you need to disable hyper threading, however there is no option on the BIOS in the 1005ha to do so.

Is there a bios that can be installed that does have that option?
