Default [HELP] Install iAtkos 5.1i on Acer Aspire 1640 Laptop

Im new to installing Operating Systems. After finding and installing the correct version of Ubuntu on my ps3 (which sucks anyway), i decided to try to install Mac on my PC.

I went ahead and downloaded and burned the iAtkos 5.1i leopard onto a DVD-R, and popped it into my drive. I can get to the install screen fine (on my external moniter), but I dont know how to set it up to install on my extra partition, while keeping Windows XP on the other partition. When i get to the part to select a drive to install to, the window is blank (with the exception of what i assume is the install disk).

Question 1: How do i install it on my 37.5 GB NTFS partition while keeping all my XP files and other data on the other partition?

Question 2: is it possible to install with the specs given below?

Specs

Acer Aspire 1640 (laptop)
Intel Pentium Processor 1.60GHz, 1.60GHz
760MB Ram

Thanks

You need to make a HFS+ partition to install Mac OS X. Click here to see the faq to create the partition within windows, after that just reboot with the dvd and install.

I was able to follow the disk partition part, but the "Copy the image over your partition" section is way over my head.

Any help?

Default instructions on iAtkos site

iATKOS OSx86 Project: Instructions

Personally I would use IPC 10.5.6 instead - it solves a lot of issues with many generic pc's

If you cannot do partitions and understand the lingo - get ready for an education in frustration
