thanks.
but i canīt find the 5300 you mentioned which is a half size mini pci card.

edit:
just searched a lot through internet and everything i found is, that the intel 5300 is not working. i thhink you meant the 5530 which is a 3G card

so i have to find another half sized pci wlan card

edit2:
i just opened my 1008ha and it wasnīt very heard (only one screw was not mentioned in the opening guide).
just looked at the wlan card and from my point of view, a full sized card wonīt fit there.
any ideas which card will work?

have a look here: Recommendation needed mini-pci wifi card - InfiniteMac OSx86 Community
There's a lot of talk about dell's 1390 and 1490 to be compatible...

another interesting option could be implanting a usb dongle inside the computer, say in that place holder for the VGA dongle and wire it from the inside... this one is pretty small... so I'm wondering if that might work as well...

Thanks for the guideline. I will try that. A few thing that might help. When formatting the hard drive, I though I need to make the partition as GUID for Intel. that is what MacBook is using. Also, iDeneb has a combo update kit 10.5.7. Since you are using iDeneb 1.4, you should know where to look.

about video:
you can install under "fixes" a driver for the GMA950 ans so you will get this resolution after first boot.
for sound i got a kext with which it works like a charm (i will post a link today evening).

one question about boot.
how long takes your 1008ha to boot. mine takes from pressing the power button until using the device around 5 min.

I don't know anything about making the partition GUID when installing OSX. I feel I got lucky with this install, rather than knowing what I'm doing. (My job is IT support and I have over 10 years experience with Windows, but I know almost nothing about OSX and even less about running it on non-apple hardware). I just following a few guides on the web and it worked. Everything I did was put in my guide.

Maybe someone else can answer this?

To The Spirit,

Yes, after retrying the install I noticed the Intel 950 video option. I agree that ticking this would have saved me the hassle of installing the driver after OSX was installed.

Regarding boot times, I would say it takes about as long as Windows, maybe 45-60 seconds. Can't say I've noticed it taking any longer. I only got it running late last night so didn't play much with it. Will try again tonight. Not sure why yours is taking so long.

RE: 1.5.7 upgrade, I downloaded the combo upgrade from Apple last night and I'm going to the upgrade tonight or at the weekend. I have seen the 1-click tool from iDeneb so will try this before the manual upgrade. From what I've read, I think I need to install Chameleon 2.x before I perform the upgrade though? Anyone done this already?

PS: Will be ordering a half-height wifi card and 2gb ram today for installation at the weekend. will post my findings here.

M
