Will am going to try ... to help out....those users with ECS p35t-a motherboards out there ...First what was my setup ....

ECS P35T-A motherboard
Core 2 duo e6700
Nvidia GF 7900gtx xfx
Maxtor 160gb sata HD ...

What i used ...
Ipc osx86 10.5.6 PPF6 distro
Modified BIOS P5A131A ....DL HERE

Original Bios ...Here...


Am not going to go in too ....what i use to DualBoot...most i'll say is i use Acronis OS selector ...works very nice ...



OK ...what i first did was install modified Bios using AFUWIN .....AFUWIN is in the zip file of the Original Bios ...just load the Rom and it will do the rest ....After install restart ...it will say checksum bad ...somesomething not setup ...Go to your Bios setup page ...and just scroll check all settings to see if they are the same as you had them before flash ....and save and exit ....this time it should start up nicely ....

The Mac part
*Note if i don't say anything about something its probably cuase i didn't do it ..

I used a HDD separate from the one i have XP on .... ok so lets move on...


So i reboot ...Go to Bios set my pc to boot from my DVD ...Save and exit ....when you reboot you'll see darwin show up ...Here i pressed F8 and used "cpus=1" you can also use "-v cpus=1" ,if you wana see what happening ,without the quotes....and then Mac setup started took awhile ...to go in but it was worth the wait first thing you see is language selection ... Chose Whatever ....then ....a page saying welcome to IPC osx86 will show up ...click continue....now a page asking you to select the HDD you want osx86 to install...also notice the bar at the top of your screen ...will show up too ....just like a normal mac bar ...ok on the bar go to Utilities(or Tools forgot the name) .....then Disk utility ...wait for it to load ...now select the HHD you want to use for Mac you see different tabs select the Partition one it should show you HDD there now select option select MBR not GUID in options ...after that go to erase enter the name you want for the HDD such as Macosx or whatever then select format to Journaled extented,you can also make partitions but its very simple to figure out .....after that close Disk Utility by clicking the red x on the top left of the window ...now you should be back at the window where it asked you to select the HDD to install Mac on ....select you HDD you just formatted and select continue on the bottom right of the window ...now you should come up to a page that says OSX install ...at the bottom of the page you should have three option Customize ,Go Back, and install....select Customize in Customize you going to see a list like this one ,CLICKHERE, from there i selected acouple things ...iPC OSx86 10.5.6 Base System,in ▼ NVIDIA i selected NVdarwin 256MB(if you have a GF with more memory just choose a diferent NVdarwin exanoke 512mb or the 756 mb ),in ▼ Chipset Drivers i selected Intel ICHx SATA Drivers , in ▼ Audio Drivers i selected ▼ ALCxxx then ALC883..(make sure once in leopard to go to preference-sound and choose built-in line out ...to make the sound work),in ▼ Ethernet Drivers i choosed Intel 82566MM/DC....in ▼ Fixes and Patches i selected ACPI Fix,CPUS=1 One Core Fix,Verbose Mode, Dual Boot Time Sync...From ▼ PS/2 Device Support i selected PS/2 Keyboard Fix (as i only have a PS/2 keyboard, mouse is usb and have had no problems with it ...)...in▼ Applications i selected OSx86 Tools Utility,MSR Tools and thats was it for this part after selecting what i wanted i hit Done ...NOTE DO NOT INSTALL OVER AN EXISTING OSx86 it will give you an install error also ....read the info that show up from what you selected and make sure you don't select two things that do the samething ...EXAMPLE selecting SATA Drive Icon Fix (New) and SATA Drive Icon Fix (old) is a NO NO ...only select what you need ...ok so now where back at the page where install begins you this time hit install.....after selecting a install a prompt will show up checking the DVD to see if it's all in good working order you can skip this if you want,i would let it run the first time...........after install is complete you be told to restart ...restart go to Bios ...set to boot from your HDD instead of DVD drive ...when darwin shows up hit F8 fast as you only got like 4 second to hit it ...Now type "-v -x -f" this will skip the welcome video and boot Leo in verbose mode and also like in Safe Mode ....then you'll see the apple log loading after that ...its simple ...setup just filling in personal stuff ...and like Admin Password for later use ...once you finish all that ..notice your lan and sound nor video card won't be working fully .....just reboot .... now this time just let Mac load normally with out typing anything ....Your sound,lan,and video should be working properly ..If your selected the right drivers ....


HOPE THIS HELPS .. I didn't find much info for this motherboard so ...just passing it on ...Osx86 is working for me almost perfect only three problems ...can't get out of sleep so set it IN ENERGY-in preference ...to never go to sleep ...My dvd is a BENQ dw1640 seems mac doesnt like it ,getting a LG or Pioneer dvdw to fix this ..and the last problem is ....restart doesnt restart only closes osx but fans and hardware keep working ...i dont mind this ...but it would be nice to fix ...i just always use shut down ...

Update:Bought a new LG DVDRW 22x sata DUAL LAYER .....works perfect .....
