Shutdown and reboot work as desired. Not sure what the issue could be, oh well, for the foreseeable future I'll be shutting it down at night, not a big deal since I don't really use it for that much right now, my netbook is getting most of the browsing duties. It also doesn't hurt that cold-boot times are super quick on this setup.

How was your experience with SL on this system? Do you think it is worth the upgrade? Also, were you able to get digital output from your sound card? On install I chose the "Voodoo HDA" option, I can get sound if I use the "headphones" output, but can't seem to get any digital sound output.

As far as i have tried, voodoo HDA only support the analog output, and even if you have the sleep function worked out, the sound will be gone after wake up if voodooHDA driver is used. There are people with other board having similar sleep related issue with the voodooHDA.

If you follow my guide in the tutorial section, there is patched apple HDA that works beautifully for both digital output, and after-sleep sound. However, my guide is only for up to 10.5.7 as I have not figured out the sleep problem under 10.5.8. I will leave it like that as I don't think one small digit matters that much.

As for the SL, I saw people also used Voodoo, hopefully not the same sleep related problem but since PLEX media centre has problem with SL, I am staying with L.

Hmm...Well I used your tutorial to try the Apple HDA, still can't seem to get digital out. I have the options now (SPDIF and Digital Out) but neither one outputs audio to my receiver.

Default What do I pick in the EFI Strings for nVidia in the installation options

Please I'm half way with the installation following your guide (thanks a lot by the way for that post) but I don't know what to click in the EFI Strings for nVidia in the installation options since I have almost the same model as your, HP m9340F with the Asus IPIBL-LB MOD BIOS but my Video card is the nVidia 9500GS and that model is not included. Should I leave these options unchecked or what??
Thanks in Advance
