Ah thx for sharing dark, I'll post this too
Update: for those that are having issues with Shut down, I fix it here by installing my useless LAN and adding efi strings for Ethernet using Efi Studio Here the Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?o5jimm2ztzf So Install, add efi strings and reboot, after that shut down should work

First off, thanks to icchansan and all the others (you know who you are) that have made it possible to run OSX on my HP. I have the Pavillion m9260f (like icchansan), so his instructions made it rather painless. Thanks again for that. I'm running 10.5.8 (update from Apple) and all goes well (except the shutdown issue which I haven't gotten to yet), and I have to 'detect display settings everytime I start up (I'm using an nVidia GeForce 6600 with dual displays). Anyone know how to make it save these settings so I don't have to do this everytime I boot up mac?
Also, for audio I use an Echo Layla 24. It's run from a PCI card in the machine. It works fine in my Mac dual G4 (PPC), and in this HP system with Vista, but I checked for OSX386 in my system profiler and it says I have no PCI cards installed. I've read every post in this thread and no one has mentioned anything about the 'no pci cards' issue. Is there a kext or fix for this? I'd really like to use my pro audio card. Thanks for any info you guys can provide. |

Check post #351 in this thread for shut down
now for your audio, did you get your drivers here? Echo Digital Audio Corporation it say Mac OS X (10.4 or later) dunno if that "later" means leopard @_o Not sure about your monitor issues, hope someone else tried to dual display if you find out how to do it, let us know ;D

yep. That's where I got the drivers. The issue is that my system profiler says I don't have any PCI cards installed, which I do. It's the echo layla 24 PCI card, but since the profiler say's no cards installed, installing the driver does nothing. Has anyone else have issue with their OSX386 stating there is no pci cards installed when there clearly is?

Well is weird cuz, long time ago I removed my 56k Modem (useless) to install an Audigy 4, but it was half support it for OSX, so I removed, try asking to nawcom in irc.osx86.hu #hackint0sh, report back if you have any answer

Hey icchansan;
Any idea what "configuration" options would be selected if I'm using iAtkos V7 and an HP Pavilion with the following specs? MB: Asus IPIBL-LB CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo RAM: DDR2-800 6GB HD: SATA II GPU: 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS and TV Tuner / PVR Audio CODEC: ALC888S LAN: 1 Realtek 8111C 10/100/1000 Mb/s (Gigabit Ethernet) Integrated LAN I have the BIOS modded per your install guide, and I can get OSX installed following the Configuration options in your guide as closely as possibe, but after the forced reboot it just hangs at the Apple logo grey screen with the spinning wheel. Thanks! |

Modded using 5.23 by Kabyl For configuration, I have the following checked: -iATKOS V7 Main System -Bootloader -Chameleon v2 -X86 Patches -/Extra Directory -DSDT -Decrypters -Apple Decrypt -SMBIOS Drivers -SMBIOS Enablers -SMBIOS-EFI -SMBIOS' for X86 -Diabler -OHR -Remove TyMCE <--- I believe this is the "thermal" from your guide -Drivers -VGA -nVidia -EFI String for nVidia -DVI/DVI -SATA/IDE -AHCI -Sound -Voodoo HDA Driver -Post-Install Actions Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I am running this on a 'new' hard disk, it will not be dual booted with Windows at all. |

Hmm...most of those are easy enough to find, but there are some differences between the iATKOS v5i and the v7 options it seems.
Here is a list of every selectable option, I have made the selections bold iATKOS v7 Main System -Bootloader --Chameleon v2 --Chameleon v1 --Xiezhy Booter -X86 Patches --/Extra Directory --DSDT --Decrypters ---Apple Decrypter ---dsmos --SMBIOS drivers --Kernel --ACPI --Disabler --OHR --Remove TyMCE -Drivers --VGA ---nVidia ----EFI string for nVidia -----DVI/DVI -----DVI/VGA -----VGA/DVI ----Enablers -----NVEnabler -----Natit -----CoreVidia -----Old Enablers ------NVinject ------NVDarwin ------NVKush ------Natit old ------Titan ------NVInject mobile ----nVidia GT200 ----nVidia GT200 EVGA ----Remove NVDAAResman ---ATI ---Intel --System ---SATA/IDE ----AHCI ----Intel SATA/IDE ----JMicron SATA/IDE ----VIA SATA/IDE ----ATI SATA/IDE ----nForce SATA/IDE ----Generic IDE ---Intel Speedstep ---CardBus Driver ---USB ---Sound ----Voodoo HDA Driver ---PS/2 mouse/keyboard ---Laptop Battery ---RAID ---ext2fs ---NTFS-3G -Languages Post-Install Actions So really the only option I don't have on this disc is for the nVidia 8400, there are no 'specific' cards other than the GT200 options. |
