Default To icchansan, about DSDT patch

Hi, icchansan, i am scratching my head about the concept of DSDT patch. Briefely tried once but no success. Should I generate the DSDT patch based on the modified BIOS, or the original BIOS? And what BIOS (mod or original) should I use on the board, if I use DSDT patch?

Any idea? Thanks!

Hey there, have to be used based ours, try asking to ppl with retail if they actually need DSDT patch cuz with BIOS MOD i dont think we need it. Try asking Pere here and check the guide.

Great, keep us posted!

I briefly tried SL using chameleon install. Installation was smooth but the appleHDA patch that worked for 10.5.8 didn't work on SL; plus no sleep function. Plus i heard many software issue with the new OS so maybe i will wait until most things ironed out before I do the switch.

I was trying to follow Dray's comments the best I could (we have the same system). I updated to 10.5.8 and I need the restart/sleep fix. Everything I've tried hasn't worked. Did I miss something?

Cheers,
JTM

Default Vista and BSOD

First of all I would like to thank Icchan for his guide. I have pavilion desktop which is m9098d with ipib-la mobo and managed to fully running osx using iAtkosv7 without a single problem (no prob with sound and display).

But this string of good luck always ends with something. I cannot boot into Vista. I installed osx on a different hdd trying not to messed with vista boot but, hey...vista still won't boot. Whenever i tried to boot vista, it manage to run until the booting screen but suddenly changed into BSOD. Is there any way I can fix this?

Another note, i can boot OSX just fine w/o probs. Just vista with BSOD.

Update:
Oh no. I'm in a deep trouble. It seems that enabling AHCI in BIOS made vista BSOD.

"Having an updated BIOS is usually a good idea. In my case I had to update to F5. I also had to enable SATA AHCI, which is supposed to increase the reliability of OS X. This made Vista blue screen on boot. Apparently Vista removes unused drivers to speed up boot time. Enabling a setting in the registry fixed this." from http://flux88.com/blog/building-a-hackintosh/

How i'm going to change the reg if i cannot load into vista??

Update 2:
Ok, repairing vista with recovery disk does not work. So i changed back the AHCI in bios back to IDE and vista can boot as usual. Now, i'm trying to change the registry first before changing into AHCI. Try this link for more info : http://www.itwriting.com/blog/288-en...-on-vista.html

Update 3:
Yay, it works! Now i can dual boot perfectly. The only setback, i cannot use the built-in wi-fi, thus the internet. Icchan, do you have any insight? Mine is Intel 825662DC. I tried installing yours, but no go.

I have IPIBL-LB, theres support for your tho, check the archive at the end of my guide to check my old guide, some users have yours, you can try ready each post to find our, or use search xD.

You can always google it or maybe check in the HCL.

Yeh you to dual boot with windows you have to set as RAID for OSX AHCI, you wanna dual boot with vista without changing anything just need to install vista again in AHCI

Hope it help and good to hear that it work for you
