okay it is all working good now... for the most... the RT73 driver only works in x32 mode, and the only kernel panics i get is from using ipod to mac apps such and diskaid and senuti... hmmm.... which i really want fixed but i guess i can find another way to put my music back on my hack

Okay i have now solved ALL kernel panics.... just make sure you download, install, and repair permissions for the ICH9 related kexts.
All is well, the only issue is the RT73 driver only works in x32 mode, x64 mode works perfectly just no internet, this should be fixed whenever Ralink has their new drivers. Also, I would highly recommend NOT booting with -f as it caused half of the kernel panics i had. in com.apple.boot.plist just boot with the -x32 string only and you are good to go :] |

I haven't been in this game for long but my understanding is that there aren't many laptops been successfully worked out with OS X, except certain model of netbooks (HP mini, MSI wind, etc.). So if you couldn't find successful story on Insanelymac about your perticular laptop, my suggestion would be don't waste your time on it. Even if you manage to install the OS, most of the time it's the driver issue that renders the laptop nearly unusable.
