Default This is my setup!!! Can I do it?

I have a HP Pavilion a6814y desktop that I purchased a few months ago. I am not a tech genius so I ran CPU-Z and this is the info from it.

Processor= Intel Dual Core E5200 (2.50GHz) SSE2,SSE3,SSSE3

Motherboard= Manf. Pegatron, Mod. Benicia, Chipset Intel P35/G33/G31
Southbridge Intel 82801IR (ICH9r)
LPCIO Fintek F8000
Bios= American Megatrends Ver 5.37 2/23/2009

Memory= 6GB DDR2

Graphics= Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

I wish I could tell you more but this is all I know. I would really like to be able to run Leopard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Default Guide for installing iATKOS v7 on m9250f

I have the wiki written specifically for installing iATKOS v7 on m9250f. If you are on the same model you may follow this.

HCL 10.5.7/Desktops - OSx86

Well you can know by checking the BIOS version when you turn on your PC in the right site of your screen or go into your BIOS and check if your model match, after mod you can install without problem ;P

Again, it technically belongs in this thread, but because of it's length I thought a thread would be more appropriate.
How did you customize your installation? Did you mod? did you try with cpus=1 -v -x?

Sowwy no idea about OC, we MOD just to get a more compatible mobo for OSX by changing a string in the BIOS

Yes you need to mod to install in your system, that way you can install any distro without problem, even retail.

I didnt update this tutorial cuz with iatkos v5i you can update without problem like a real mac, you can use this tutorial like a base, distros dont change that much, they just add more kexts and new kernels, you can check uphuck site for more info about iatkos v7, but will customize almost like us

Good luck to all

Okay I have a couple of questions before I do anything.
  1. Will this work on a HP Pavilon Special Edition (i think all thats differnet from a regular pavilion is that the front of the tower has a cool design on it)
  2. How do I back up my bios?
  3. When I backup my bios, and then try to mod it, how do I get it back to the backup if my bios so it works properly again?
  4. Also after moding the bios, will it still be able to run vista (my currently installed os) just fine or will I have to revert to the backup?
  5. Finally, when doing a partition can i use a program i downloaded or will I have to make the partition in the os x set up thing?

Can someone/some people answer these questions for me?
