When I upgraded to 10.5.6, I had a problem with my audio. I tried to reinstall the ktexts again but it didn't work. Can't really upgrade too.

Just use the Kext Editor b7... you have to type in your password (for mac os x) and drag the files (for each "driver" I think there's two files) in the window and click "easy install". You can find the "Kext Editor b7" using Google. Just click the first link and install it. That's what I did. I had no idea how to install them and then I did that... For the WiFi, I just installed the files in the folders in numerical order.

Good Luck!

Hey can anyone help me update to 10.5.6? I tried a few times to update but I'm having a hard time with my audio. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If I find something, I'll post it on this thread. Thanks! =)

Default Audio working in 10.5.6!

I upgraded my m9040n to version 10.5.6 & I finally got my audio to work! I used this file : Board Message

from this thread...

ALC889A, all analog ports are working with AppleHDA.kext - InsanelyMac Forum

I hope this helps someone too.

What do you need to modify?

I'm up and running thanks to this thread! One problem though. I'm using dual screen and one of the screens is an HDTV, but I can't get the TV to give me its native resolution of 1360x720 in the display. I get the standard up to 1024x768, then a bunch of high resolutions that can't be used on the TV. I read that might be because I'm connected via VGA and won't get widescreen output, but wanted to be sure it's not possible before I give up based on old posts. I have the other monitor set at 1440x900 through DVI so I don't have any trouble there. So any help would be appreciated, whether it's not possible or pointing me in the right direction.

My video card is the 8800GT 512MB and I have NVInject 0.2.0 installed with full hardware acceleration.

Default 10.5.6 Update

Hi,

managed to get my HP Pavilion m9275.pt to run 10.5.5 iAtkos. It works very well - I mean perfectly. I had to update BIOS and now it runs like dream. Now I wonder (too much informations and too many ways) how to upgrade to 10.5.6

Can somebody give me a few directions in short?

Is there any torrent?

regards
gregor
