Default Another Boot 0:Error - Install problem

I have been trying a iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 install for a couple of days now with no valid results and really need some help.

The install works great and the install log looks clean.. However, upon the initial restart it stops on a Boot0:Error screen.

I am trying to dual boot with Vista and have a partition set up via Gparted as a Fat32 primary drive with it being formatted HFS+ in the installer. After OS-X install and after the first non-restart and error message, I set the partition up with bcdedit to be active, display in the Vista bootloader and tried again with the same result.

My system is new and that old hardware kext issues shouldn't be an issue as they didn't show any problems in the install log as it was performing the install. The firewire driver struggled a bit, but was ok in the end.

My first question is, will this distro run on a Core 2 Quad system? I have researched the errors and there are only a couple of them mentioned in any thread and I can find no info on the quad as opposed to the duo.

My next question is, Instead of a distro, would I be better off with a Boot 132, Retail approach?

Any help is very appreciated. (Sys specs below)

Thanks!

Check the FAQ, the link is in my signature, you can try with Retail, but you will need the whole disk for it

I really appreciate the help and apologize for not digging deeper into the FAQ, but I didn't see anything that immediately applied to my situation.. I guess I didn't dig deep enough.

After reading the FAQ and the links, I find that I still have a fully loaded and verified but non functioning OSX partition and that the Easy BCD 2.0 EFI procedure has given me a boot, and with a -s after the F8, I have a command prompt which I followed to a T.

sudo -s
cd/usr/standalone/i386
dd if=boot1h of=/dev/rdisk0s4 (My circumstance)
cp boot/

Well, it still doesn't boot. I got to the last command in the post, "cp boot/" and it kicks back with a no go.

With this, it still boots into OSX and then stalls at the Kernel load. At this point, I'm not assuming anything as I am a Noob with Darwin and BSD in general.

My biggest issue is that I have to recover with a Vista install disk after the iDeneb OSX install. This erases the logical drive letter and renders it useless in BCDedit or the EFI fix in EasyBCD 2.0.

Where as most OSX86 distros would load after install, mine still has an issue.

What that is still eludes me.

I apologize for the bother, but I have been trying to figure this out for a couple of weeks and you have been very helpful so far.

Thanks in advance, and I apologize for my idiocy.

Well, I'm limping at 1280x1024 but I got it... It was the boot loader.

I have the same issue as hundreds of others in the ATI 3450 video department. This is depressing as I don't see it resolved any time soon..

If you could point me in a direction that might be able to help others with the video issue, that would be greatly appreciated.

I do appreciate all of the help icchansan.

Thanks!
