Yeah or try to put it a separate IDE port as slave, you can also try with USB DVD Drive

"MAC Framework successfully initialized" freeze-up
I know I'm not the only one by far who has this issue and people who have the required components on the HCL run into this too. anyway, while I'm attempting an install of OSX via any distro, whether it be iDeneb, iPC, iAtkos, or Kalyway, I run into this error. The disc stops spinning in the drive when I get to this point (see below) and I don't see any progress afterwards...

UPDATE: Apparently if you stick a USB Flash drive into one of the USB ports it will go past this spot where it hangs. It will not work if you already had the Flash Drive in on boot and you remove and insert it again. For more info, see my thread Please add this to your FAQ, TJ2K7. Thanks! Help...
My Installation Keeps Restarting.. After The Do You Have Another Mac.. And I Choose Do Not Transfer Info.. So I try To Use The Method Shown..
/sbin/fsck -fy /sbin/mount -uw / passwd root touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone But when i type in passwd root.. it doesnt work it says unknown something.. cant remember Someone please help.. Thank You..

This tutorial first seems to be very good but VMware could'nt read the leopard.vmdk file. When i boot my Tiger version it says "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer."
Does anyone know what is wrong? One more thing im conserned about is that VMware seems to just working with iso files when it says: "Use ISO image file:" and the list does'nt show other files than iso:s as default. Is there any other way to mount the .vmdk file?

Did you check in PCwiz? or try to download a vmware image with Leopard ready, theres some out there, you can also try OSX live
