I have just one question.... How do I remove the kext? if I get KP or infinate reboot I want to remove it with out, but I dont know what to type at the darwin prompt....

Or install macdrive in windows then reboot and boot into leopard in force mode

hello i have tried ti install the iwi3945 pkg
it will install fine, but no prompt the afirm it in network properties, instead i get a shaded screen telling me to reboot. holding down the power button.
upon reboot i get the same screen..... over and over..
re formatted to fat 32 reloaded osx deneb 10.5.5
i need to know how to install this driver the current post didn't work for me

I tried this kext numerous times on different versions. Here are my results:

1. Kalyway 10.5.2; No KP but Constant loading on reboot.... Tried update -v and -f but no luck.

2. Kalyway 10.5.3 Combo update; No KP, detected card and applied settings but it registered as an ethernet card... Opened up terminal network window and I was able to turn the card on and detect networks tried to accociate but it never did.

3. Apple 10.5.6 combo update (from kalyway 10.5.3); No detection, no KP at first but after about 3 reboots and repairing the permitions I got the dredded infinate reboot.

4. iatkos 10.5.5; Immidate KP after restart

5. xXx 10.5.6; imidiate KP also

So far as you can see my set up with Kalyway 10.5.3 Com Updt worked the best, I am DL-ing Ideneb 10.5.5 now ill see what happenes with it for me....

Your best bet is if you really really want your wireless is to go buy a broadcom card, they work fine....

But if you really want to keep your 3945 just keep trying and testing the new builds that they put out, you never know, one might work for you.... They also might have a stable one soon from what I hear.

They are working on this, please try to help them or wait!

Thanks for the post -- I downloaded
Go to iwidarwin - Google Code

and download

PROSet/Wireless 3945a/b/g OS X 10.5 SVN latest

and installed the same. Followed the steps and everything worked fine. It was able to show my Wireless . But when I select my wireless -- it says trying to associate and comes out immediatelty. No association happens

BTW -- My SSID is OPEN (removed security). Is there any where to check some error.

I am on 10.5.4
