i have this setup, i really hope its possible:

Motherboard: Asus P5E WS Pro
Processor: Intel Core2Duo E8400
Graphic Card: XFX Geforce 9800GX2
Memory: Corsair PC8500 DDR2 4GB

i have some internal drives, but the most optimal for me would be if i could run it from a external harddrive og a pendrive, as i could still use my Vista then.. if i should want to play some of my games.. i have a 500gb Western Digital USB harddrive and a 16gb Kingston USB pendrive.. should that suffice

Here a guide for your system, to dual boot go to dual boot section here, you can install in external or internal HDD without problem, I think is not possible to install on USB Flash drive, too slow
