Been away but now I'm back.

I have a newish laptop. It's an Advent 8117 (Uniwill L71II3) specification below.

CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2080 (1.73GHz)
Chipset: Mobile Intel Calistoga GML i940 / GML i943 ML
Graphics: Mobile Intel 945GM/GU (up to 128MB)
Network Adaptor: Realtek RTL 8139/810
Wireless LAN: Ralink RT73 USB
Sound: Realtek ALC883

Which distro is best for the above hardware.

BTW this laptop is not listed in the HCL

Seems kinda similar to a laptop my friend has. He used iPC 10.5.6 to install OS X. However, a lot of the time, it is just trial and error - if one distro doesn't work, it isn't the end of the world as there are plenty more. I'd recommend iPC though.

Seems compatible, did you try already? go with iPC or ideneb, remember to use a patched kernel like voodoo, report your progress and welcome back XD
