so I had a jailbroken 2.2.1 with 2.2.1 baseband on my 3G alongside openiboot, and, as I was very excited by the release of redsnow, I forgot to get rid of openiboot before updateing, and so, I shit-restored to a clean 3.0 in order to pwn it afterwards, but, little did I know that I will end up in a neverending loops of itunes error 6 no matter what I try, and, furthermore, the iphone failed update log says

executing /usr/sbin/nvram
entering update_NOR
entering img3_update_NOR
unable to convert message to property list
unable to get NOR data from host

so there is definetly something wrong with my NOR now, since it had openiboot on it, and, I remember even trying to install logome in order to get rid of openiboot, but I never was able to get rid of it so I just left it there thinking that a restore would do the trick............

PROBLEM SOLVED, I HAD TO SHUT DOWN ZONEALARM AND LET ITUNES DO ITS STUFF BY JUST HITTING RESTORE AND LETTING IT RESTORE AND UPDATE.

its an antivirus............... who would have ever thought about it? about the fact that it was the culprit for my unable to get NOR data from host...)

i still dont get any email notification of replies............ can someone please fix this?
