yea if you used the openiboot.img3 that came in the first iphonelinux release that was talked about on linuxoniphone then it doesnt have the uninstall command and youll have to update openiboot to uninstall it

dude, I know what musclenerd said, but as it appears the version of the .img3 that I was using had to be updated.

is there a changelog for the newer .img3? I cant find it on the iphonelinux wiki

all you want to do is update to uninstall openiboot right?
and your on a 3g or 2g?

im on a 3g. I just tried out the uninstall, so id have a clear picture of the instalation and removal process with the former .img3. but its ok, I know how to do it now. pitty it had not come to my attention that this bug existed in the previous release.
