Default Windows 7 ... broken pipe in Redmond, leak

Not Apple this time, but intresting. Now it is clear how so many of the new features of Window 7 could become public in the past few days.

A copy of it has surfaced on the net. As it is reported to be available on many closed torrent trackers already, it will become public trade ware on the major sites soon. From the source who gave us the screenshot above we now can be sure it's real.

Where this internal Build of the OS came from is unknown yet, maybe just another broken pipe in Redmond has caused this major leak to happen. Anyhow, some people there might have wet feet now.

Where did build 6801 come from?

Microsoft. They were even nice enough to put out a press release.

Calling 6801 an "internal leak" is a bit of a stretch when it was given away to every developer who attended PDC last week.
