how to unlock iphone 3g

hello i have a iphone with firmware 2.2.1 i bought it in usa and want to use my danish sim-card but how

Wait until friday, and check the Dev Team blog Dev-Team Blog. Probably we will have an unlock for 3.0

Check your baseband version under Settings -> General -> About. If your modem firmware is 02.28.00, just install YellowSn0w from Cydia (see iClarified tutorials). If it has a higger version, you can only buy a sim adapter (Turbosim or similar), or wait until friday and check the Dev Team blog.

if youre on 2.2.1, youll need to download "3g fuzzyband downgrader" of cydia first before you use yellowsnow

this will only work if your baseband is 5.8. Most of the newer ones have 5.9 and 6.02, and for these bands you do not have any other viable option but to either use "turbo sim" (i used to have this) or wait for the ultrasn0w to come. check the dev-team blog, they are the most reliable
