As I patiently wait for an unlock to be able to use my iphone with Verizon I went ahead and used Quickpwn to jailbreak my 2.2.1 w/ 2.30

Ever since I recieve a pop up stating "Waiting for Activation---This may take some time yada yada"
and another occasional pop up, i forget what that one said but comes with the option to click for "Dismiss"

I currently have no provider but the phone was previously threw AT&T... so my question is, is there anyway to eliminate this pop up? or get the phone back to where it atleast showed the AT&T logo at the top left again?

Thanks in advance for any help. Still new to the whole process and I did search quit a bit but couldn't find any specific info for this problem.

oh ps... I have done restore a few times and even set up as new phone but have still never been able to get logo back

If you jailbreak with a SIM card in it (not AT&T) quickpwn will activate it.
But you will have a long wait before verizon give up on CDMA and convert to GSM so you can use your iPhone....

I wasn't trying to jailbreak to activate another service though. I don't have any service at all nor am I interested in it. For now I will just use it as an iTouch, but would like to get rid of the activation screen that keeps popping up every now and then. anyone know a way to do this?
