does any1 know how to jailbreak an iphone 3g with bootloader 5.9?

Bootloather has nothing to do with jailbreak. See iClarified tutorials to jailbreak it.

but i can't use any other sim apart from the one it came with... And when i want to downgrade it i find tutorials available only for bootloader 5.9 (the baseband remains upgraded)

Well, that's unlock, no Jailbreak. If you have baseband 2.28, you can unlock it with YellowSn0w. If you have basebend 2.30 and Bootloader 5.9, you can unlock it with a SIM adapter (Gervey SIM).

i c... so thats like fingering the sim and not the phone right? so i take it there is no method to tamper with the phone to get it working with any sim (yet)?

I have tried quickpwn(QP) a few time. Every time it tries to go to recovery mode it never gets there. The next step stays light grey and the first stays black with the circle just spinning. I even let it go for an hour+. Anyone else have this problem. Deleting QP and reinstalling it has not worked yet. I will try again and post good news (if any).
