I just bought a factory unlocked iphone 3G . I want to jailbreak it.
May I ask do I install the quickpawn directly from Devteam blog using the iphone ? or I have to do the same way like those listed like restoring it to a image firmware and jailbreak it ? Many Thanks.

If it is a factory unlocked iPhone 3G first make sure to have it activated (working) with the latest firmware on it (2.2.1) - I would guess you already have done this.

Then load QuickPwn 2.2.5 for Mac or 2.2.5-2 for Windows to your PC (or Mac).

cause you got a factory unlocked iPhone, download firmware version 2.2.1 and just go ahead.

Just to make sure: Factroy unlocked iPhones 3G are sold in some countries due to national law forbidding to sell simlocked iPhones. You can use them worldwide with any simcard.
The reason i am pointing that out, you dont want to have 2.2.1 on a simlocked iPhone 3G cause there is no unlock then.

If you use the Mac version of Quickpwn it will just move on.
On the windows version at step 8 in iClarified's tutorial I would recommend to just activate "Add cydia". It's the best Installer. "Add installer" would bring another alternative installer on the iPhone "Replace boot logos" would give you two other logos when booting or recovering.
