Hello guys, I just got my Iphone 3g a few days ago and updated to the lates firmware 2.2.1 (5H11). I then bought the software from newiphoneulcok and followed the steps to unlock the phone. I could not restore the phone using the firmware they provided, it kept on giving me an error 1013 unable to restore. Luckily those folks gave me my money back. So then I tried with the easyiphoneunlock. and these guys are the worst!!! I can't believe they are recomended as nbr 1 by the dev team. They won't even reply to my tech support emails and I try to file a claim with paypal but to no avail.

so now I am stuck, I tried everything they they suggested. I unistalled all the software including itune and reinstalled still, the same stupid error! 1013 unable to restore. Then i can just restore my phone to itues 5H11. I just need to unlock my phone so I can use it overseas with a local sim. I don't really care for any jailbreak or application. Any hints on how I can get it unlocked?

From my experience with iPhone 3G's error 1013 usually means that since you updated to the latest firmware (i.e. newest baseband) you can't downgrade back to 2.2 firmware. As of right now, the only solution to unlock your iPhone 3G is with a SIM adapter of some sort.
