Default [Problem] [Solved] "Quickpwn has encountered an error and needs to close"

Wow, I feel pretty stupid that I can't get this done! Can anyone help or troubleshoot?'

Ok, so I downloaded quickpwn, and followed the steps. I got all the way to where it has you hold down the hold button, power, etc. then it says preparing to jailbreak phone, but nothing happens. I have tried this several times!

In addition, I am getting error messages pertaining to application and messages that say "quickpwn has encountered an error and needs to close".

What is going on? I am so frustrated.

Does the fact that I disconnected my service with AT&T make a difference? I am looking to unlock to go with Tmobile.

Also, I have updated itunes to the current one *8.something* and my iphone 3g is at 2.2.

Should I just "pay" for one of those unlocking programs...do they work any better?

Yikes...I am lost. Thanks to everyone!!! I'll keep checking this and responding!

Hello,

It has nothing to do with the fact your carrier provider is AT&T or any other carrier provider available in your country.

Follow these steps and you'll be up and running soon (If you follow these steps the right way). I assume you are using Windows XP as your main computer configuration? There might be a few so called 'windows services' that are not enabled that are needed by Quickpwn 2.2.5-2, I suggest you to do the follow steps:
  1. Go to “Control Panel” -> “Administrative Tools” -> “Services”. Then enable these services if they’re not started:
    • Messenger (This one is needed to be disabled again after a successfully jailbreak)
    • Telnet
    • Terminal Services
  2. After you complete the above changes, try to perform QuickPwn agian.
When you jailbroke your iPhone you can afcource continue to install your applications from Cydia.
