when im intalling the iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore file through itunes, it gets half way through and comes up with an error 1013, and leaves the phone in recovery mode.

its a brand new 16gb 3g

any suggestions?

i been following iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 3G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

Use Quickpwn 2.2 to get out of Recovery , Once you start Quickpwn it will then displays a message asking you to hold down power and home button for 15 seconds, then let go home and wait 2-3 second till iphone restart.

i can actually get it out of recovery mode, but my goal is to Quickpw the phone...

It might be the firmware file corrupted. Try to download the firmware file and restore your iPhone again.

maybe you uograded your babseband by mistake to 02.30.03 which requires firmware 2.2.1, if you're trying to use 2.2 and the baseband is updated it won't work... at least from my experience.

well i had a problem like that a while ago and it turned out to be a stupid thing, when that happened to me it turned out to be the USB cable, bcause i was using an older cable that i had attached to my computer to restore instead of the one that came with the iphone, once i changed the cable to tha iphone usb calbe everything went fine.. hope this helps you
