Hello all,

I have been out of the iphone jailbreaking unlocking scene for a little while and so I been doing some reading up since my wife recently got a iphone 3g ( I still have my 2g).

Anyways, I would like to jailbreak her phone for tethering purposes and I would like someone to help me with a few questions. I was reading up on quickpwn and I read that if I use that method to jailbreak the iphone 3g that I will not be able to preserve the original BB, which could cause future problems if we decided to go to another wireless provider.

So I started reading up on Pwnagetool but it seems that is only for Mac and we only have windows. So that won't work either.

So I started reading up on this yellowsnow and it seems to me that I need my phone jailbroken already to run it?

So can someone let me know my options or link me to a tutorial? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

your need the latest baseband (2.28.00) in order to unlock the phone.... so DFU restore to 2.2 firmware with itunes and jailbreak with quickpwn.
