SOLVED
Hi guys, I have an iPhone 2G at firmare 2.0 (originally came with 1.1.2) and was going to upgrade it to 3.0. I was following this article: iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.0 Using RedSn0w (Windows) And when I clicked (with Shift) Restore on my iTunes 8.2, and chose the firmware I downloaded from that page, after a few seconds, iTunes popped the error message as follows: "The <iPhoneName> coulnd't be restored. An unkown error occured (2002)." What can I do now? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. UPDATE: Nevermind, found the solution. I was connecting the iPhone through a Hub, not directly into the motherboard's USB. Hope that helps anyone having this problem.
